mirror failure

I set up windows 2000 server dynamic volumes, identical disks, on a dell 2200 scsi server. I made the mirror, followed the instructions. however, when I fake a failure of the disk0, the system won’t boot off the other mirror. every article I’ve found says, you need a fault tolerant boot floppy. I followed those instructions, tried every possible ARC path, and it still won’t see it.

any suggestions?
