Missing Documents and Settings Folders

by jeanna.hazel . Updated 21 years, 10 months ago

Yesterday my company changed my network account from having administrator rights. When the change was made I was signed on remotely to the network. When I shut down my pc it took about 10 minutes for the pc to shut down and the message saving settings appeared on the screen. The next time that I booted up my pc my desktop image had totaly changed and my documents and settings folders are empty. The hard drive of the pc shows that there is 9gig of data being used og an 18gig drive. It appears that the data must be on the pc, but I am unable to see the data. I have tried to sign onto the pc using the pc administrator sign-on, but I get the same results. Has anyone experienced this before? Can anyone offer any suggestions about how to recover my documents and settings? Thanks!
