Monitoring logons

Is there a way to record when a user logs on and logs off of his pc. The eventlog is too cumbersome to check on a continous basis. The problem is that a manager wants to know when each person logs on or off of their respective pc’s for time tracking purposes. Any help will be graetly appreciated
