monitoring offline file sync

Does anyone know how I can monitor when the last time a remote user has completed the snyc process. I have roughly 40 users syncing through a vpn connection and would like the ability to create a report every morning and know who did and who didn’t etc..

any software or utilities on the market? Any good tricks? I am really sick of reading file modification dates. 🙂
