Problem:
Mouse won’t scroll in browsers, but it will scroll normally in MS Word.

Setup:
Desktop HP PC Intel I5
Running Windows 10 Pro build 19045.3930
Simple generic mouse
Mouse driver : HID – Compliant mouse
Attempts to resolve:
Tried three browsers (including Chrome & Edge)
Following other posts on the internet, I have altered various settings in Windows Settings
Swapped out the mouse
Deleting the device driver
Ran checks on the health of Windows
Ran a clean boot-
Scrolling resumed in a browser.
I then tried to identify a particular service that might be responsible, but after much effort I could not narrow it down to any one service
Any help to resolve this would be much appreciated
