msiexec hangs on 3dfx driver install

I’m trying to install one of the newer (i.e. since July) driver sets from 3dfx – the files unpack to a temp directory, windows installer configures, then the process stops. I don’t get as far as the installshield. Msiexec.exe and setup.exe are stillrunning in the task list.

system config: k6-2 450, 128m ram, w98se, v3-2000 pci

Did a virus scan w/new Norton virus sets… came out clean (no win95.cih virus – I’ve heard this causes invalid page faults w/msiexec).

Any ideas?
