Multicast NLB

Just a couple questions that i cant seems to wrap my head around.
So in NLB, there is a need to map a static multicast mac address onto the switch port, followed by performing a static arp so that the virtual ip can resolve into multicast mac

Questions

1) Why cant virtual IP self resolve into multicast mac ?

2) I suppose in order to get things working, what i will need is a virtual ip address and a multicast mac address. In microsoft context, an auto generated mac address. 03:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

3) How does a switch normally learn multicast address.

4) Does switch learn multicast mac in forwarding database ?
