“My Computer” continuously pops up

A user has a strange problem. Sometimes the “My Computer” window will pop up, and stay in the foreground, making work on other programs near imnpossible. If she closes the window, it will pop up again in about 1/2 sec.

The IT department tried to ‘rebuild’ windows (whatever that means) and no viruses/spyware show up on searches.

Last week they replaced her laptop and reinstalled windows. The problem came right back.

HAs anyone seen this? Any ideas?
