My grandma’s targus AMW57 mouse ain’t working..

I was playing Second Life one night on my grandma’s laptop, the mouse just stopped working. I don’t know why..

1. The USB was plugged in
2. I wasn’t using a mouse-pad, but I used my leg
3. I was playing it from 12:00- 4:00 AM because I couldn’t sleep
4. The mouse arrow just stopped
5. HELP!

Is there a way I can fix my grandma’s mouse?
