My XP Pro Boots with Monitor off……?

After install of Sp2 the computer goes thru the boot sequence with the monitor in standby yellow light mode. It does not turn on till the “Sign In Screen” is ready. It never did this prior to the install. Is there a way to get the computer to boot with the monitor on all the time?

I need to see that it is going thru the boot sequense and need to get F9 key to work and see it so I can check my BIOs settings.
