Hi all,
I am using Win2K Adv Srv SP2 configured as a PDC.
It has one Ethernet card (static IP) and one dial-up modem used to connect a remote network (dynamically assigned IP by remote DHCP).
When working disconnected from the remote network, everything works fine: pinging the PDC hostname returns the local IP address.
The problem is when connected to the remote network: pinging the PDC hostname now returns the remote assigned IP for that WAN/PPP connection.
…and the following error events are logged:
1) Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. Return value (1722).
2) The Group Policy client-side extension Security was passed flags (17) and returned a failure status code of (3).
3) Security policy cannot be propagated. Cannot access the template. Error code = 3.

Thanks in advance,
