Need some help

Hello everyone! I just got my macbook air 13″ (2017) updated to big sur 11.1, only after having apple do it after my mac was locked on the login screen after attempting to do it on my own and wouldn’t pretty much do anything else, and lost all my data, so I’m a little afraid about doing that update.

Should I do it or should I stay here for now? (link removed by moderator)
