Need to find the answer for my problem with Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0

I keep getting this message when I try to save or print a document using Adobe format. The document is already in PDF format. The Message “A serious error has been detected and Adobe Arobat 8.1.0 Professional cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again.” When I reinstall the application I get the same error message.
