Netware 4.11 Vrepair trashed a volume

by info . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

My problem is that at my new job we have a Netware 411 server with a totally screwed up set of volumes. The problem is that they had only set up 2, one SYS and one named VOL1. The VOL1 was spread across 3 hard drives. 2 days ago the server needed tobe rebooted and while starting up one of the harddrives did not spin up. My problem is that my colegue did not pay any notice to vrepair starting up on it’s own. When he called me the server already repaired 196K errors on the volume. Now my problemis that the volumes information is spread out among all folders in that volume and maybe 40% is left in the original locations. Is there a quick way to get the information back into the right place? Or something that can undo what Vrepair did?

HELP

I had never had anything like this happen to me. I already set up a second server with a correct set of volumes that are not spread accross multiple drives.

PS. The company never had any backups done!!! 🙂
