Netware banner prints using Microsoft cl

I have an application that requires the Microsoft client for Netware (Netware client is not supported by vendor) accessing a Netware v5.1 server. The workstations were just upgraded to Win98.

When printing (HP printers), banners and an extra page always print. All known Banner check boxes are off (Printer properties). Doesn’t pick up correct capture statement in the NET$LOG.DAT. Queue gets captured, but with default settings (banners enabled).

“Worked fine before on Win95.”
Any suggestions?
