Just when I was at the beach my boss got a hold of my cell number from someone and and called me of a weired problem.
” The Network Logon Screen” on his Dell P3 with Win98SE disappeared and will not automatically appear at the beginning of the Windows session. The only way to get it up on the screen is to hit Shutdown-Log On As a Different User and then it works. I’m stumped cuz I tried to do all the following:
1. I wiped out and restored network configuration (Client for MS, TCP/IP)
2. I removed all *.pwl files
3. I also deltree’d C:\windows and reinstalled Windows SE from from a saved copy of Dell cab folder in a c: directory.
4. I also replaced the 3com NIC with Intel Nic 10/100 just for sure.
5. I ran Norton Anti Virus 2000 many times with latest definitions for precautions.
6. I used TweakUI 98 tricks and can do .
7. I ran to Mcdonalds across the street 4 times for coffee in a six hour period.
8. I want to slit my wrist for bringing my cell phone at the beach on a beautiful Sunday af
