Network problem

I have connected two XP computers using a cross cable.PC1 can acess PC2 but when pc2 try to acess pc1 the login screen appears with user id computer_name\guest and the ID field is disabled and password field. Nothing happens if i enter anything in password.
I have enabled the guest acount on pc1 then message comes with saying something about permission.
Please help in this regard.
