I am new here and don’t know what the points are for, but I put this one up for all (but one) that I have.
We have a NT Terminal Server (4.0 SP4) with Citrix 1.8 on it. External USR 56k Modem.
RAS will not install because it does not see a “RAS Capable Device”, yet NT sees the Modem just great. I can get to COM1 via DOS (i.e. “ECHO ATDT >COM1” works like a champ.)
HyperTerminal blows chunks when it runs. Ditto with anything else TAPI. No remote access software has even been on it(i.e. pcAnywhere, etc..). Citrix works like a champ too – except for the modem, which depends on RAS.
Ultimate goal: Get the dang thing to let TAPI applications running in client sessions recognize USR modems hung off 9x or NT PC’s so they can dial into remote networks. (Yes, the Citrix client allows local TAPI redirection and local COM port redirection as well.)
Here is what I have done thus far – all to no avail.
Installed the 128 bit SP4 (originally it was just the standard WTSRVoff the CD). No cha
