no video!!!!!!!!

hello. i have a hp pavilion g60 laptop thatthe video stopped it wont even work on an external monitor, i also sent the motherboard to get fixed and just received itback and still i have no video output not even on externalmonitor, the screen is grey not black and it will develope a wide black vertical line before i buy or spend more money can anyone help< is it the lcd screen? please help i appreciate it . kidh
