Not able to open Display properties

i had a winxp os machine, my system had been affected with virus. i had cleaned it. later on if i try to open display properties, it was displaying an error msg of “The operation was aborted by administrator” like that some error msg it was showing, since iam an administrator login. Pls solve my problem.
