I’m having a problem installing sr1 and sr2b on win98 and 95 clients. Everytime I do the sr2b check after installing sr1 it comes up with a message saying that sr2b can’t be applied because there are varying versions of office components installed. Sometimes I get that message without installing sr1 right after doing the check. I get this after I do a complete uninstall and reinstall of Office 97 from a network drive or an office cd from a shared cdrom drive on the server. I’ve also tried it locally on the client’s cdrom drive. I have 6 clients in one office with this problem. I had no problem on the NT workstation clients. On one of the win95 clients I get a box stating that the folling components will be updated and the components listedon the bottom of the box will not be udated, when installing SR1.
