Office 2010 launches extremely slow

I have a user who is running Windows 7 and office 2010 installed locally. When the user first boots up his machine and launches any office app it takes between 5 and 10 minutes for it to initially launch. But once you get it to launch the first time it runs with no problems. Any ideas?
