Online Gaming

I had a tower at home go absoutely nuts. It kept uninstalling hardware…blah blah blah. It is a media center tower, so it is used for online gaming, saving Regis etc. Entertainment mostly.

I got it back under control… but my question now is: How safe is that tower while gaming? I mean, I got through school on a steady diet of Doom and cupcakes. But, now the games are so much more elaborate. I can’t help but think my system is naked behind a thin curtain provided by George Lucas.
