Open failed – TWAIN device name not recognized

I am using ChiroTouch, a practice management application for Chiropractors. When I try to scan directly into a patient’s record in ChiroTouch, I get an error “Open failed – TWAIN device name not recognized”. I am using an HP Officejet Pro 9025. After giving the error and pressing OK, the scan will work. When I used the HP Officejet Pro 8710, I never got that error., and the scan worked perfectly. I have talked with HP and ChiroTouch, but they both point the finger at the other. I am using two Windows 7 PCs (both get the same error). I initially used a Windows 10 PC that still had the same error. What can I do to get rid of that error saying that the TWAIN device name is not recognized?
