OS X server (v375)

I’m having some problems setting up an X server for the macintosh clients on our lan network (tcp/ip). The problem is making the file server work. I cannot connect to it remotely, but I can get into the web interface remotely and it say’s that thefile server is not started and when I try to start it up it won’t.
What can I do or does anyone have any suggestion? There is another X server on our network at a different location and is running fine, I checked the setting on this one and duplicated them on mine (excpect the name and ip address) and all seems to be correct.
