Outlook Express mails gone?

Dear reader, I have installed Windows XP Professional on my PC and were using prior an older version of Windows XP. For my emails I used Outlook Express. After I have finished the installation process all my mails were gone. The same with my Internet Explorer Bookmarks. Has anybody an idea where I can find them again?
