Outsourced to virtual service desk

I’m a senior (10 years +) service desk support and i’m looking for work. I got 6 certs including MCSE, ITIL v3 etc, fully bilingual…and i was wondering how come companies do not want to try a tech like me working from my home call center? Company seems to be afraid to hire techs to work from there home. I don’t understand, company cost is less because no expense for office , equipement etc…
