Palm and International Travel

What are my European travel options if I go with a Palm device on Verizon? I would get one in a heartbeat if I knew of someway to make it work overseas. I have an HTC Touch Pro 2 right now and even though its on Verizon, it has a GSM card available and they say it will work well in Europe. Is there no solution for the Palm devices?
