Peer to Peer with PCs and Mac

I need to set up a basic peer to peer network with 2 PCs a PowerMac G3, cable modem, and a shared printer(s). I am quite familiar with the PC side but have never done this with a Mac. So I need to know where to go in the Mac OS to configure the G3 for the network and how to set up the shared printer. Is it best to connect the printer to the Mac or one of the PCs or to a print server?
