PLS HELP ASAP! how to protect sheet

i ve sheets to be protected but there are macros working on that sheets.so when i protect sheet and put a password then macro doesnt work, it stops and ask for the password.it is a data entry system i want people process data and run macro but i dont want them to be able to change the other sheets which macro process the data into. how can i do that???
