the problem
I have a user in Ireland who needs to have email access back to our exchange 5.5 in london via the net. With OE5 setup correctly it keeps asking for his password, the mail server event log gives this reason
“logon attempt by domain/user from IP to user has failed EcGetMailboxDN() call failed with error. The requested mailbox is not avaulable on this server ”
my setup is
Mail server connects via firewall to the net, his home mail server is connected via a wan link back to the main mail server.
There are no routing problems at all, it is just this way of working that fails.
I often use this same method to connect to my email from home. why is it failing? does it matter that his home server is not the same as mine? if so, how do I allow his account to work in this manner ?
