What should I do ? I?ve been working for a company for over three years now. I work in the IT department. I?m being trained for the Network Admin. position. The current Admin. is going to be on maternity leave and will not be coming back as the admin. later on. Both the current Admin and my boss know I can do the job. It has been communicated to upper mgmt. as well. The problem is the upper mgmt. is not saying anything about the position, responsibilities or PAY.
I?m doing all the function required of this position, upgrading, scheduling repairs, staying late, moving hardware, troubleshooting?
We are moving two offices, I?ve been through one move already, and demonstrated my abilities to get things done and done right.
I?ve been doing this job since October. I think its been enough time to show I can do the job. I don?t want to screw them over, And I also don?t want to get screwed over!
I want to tell them I?m not going to do the job until I get paid. What should Ido? A memo went out saying the current Admin is solely works on the moves, anything she did was to go the IS manager. He directs everybody to me, now people just come to me with what they need. I do the work, no title, no pay, when is enough, enough? I?ve even asked about having retro-active pay, but I hear nothing. I?m very concerned about this situation. Any help will be appreciated.
