Print Option Box in PDF takes a long time to Open

I have a user who is running MS XP with Office 2003. When you opens a PDF file, small or large, and hits the Print option or File\Print, the Print Box takes over 2 minutes to come up for him to select his printer. He has Adobe 9 installed. I would not think this was a print driver issue since the delay comes before he even selects a printer. Any thoughts?
