Printer connection

the notebook domain is mshome while others are xxx. the printer are attach to the server with zone alarm installed. the zona alarm hav been set to accept all print activity coming in.
the notebook can connect to the printer, but always loose the connection with msg like unable to connect, unable to open, error retrying.
the notebook r able to ping the server.
pls help!
