I have two HP LaserJet 4050TN printer devices in a printer pool. They both point to a single logical printer on a NT 4 Server. According to one of my users, she claims that when she prints a job with at least two pages to the logical printer, it will print half of the job on one printer device in the pool and the other half on the other. Now before you say “it’s supposed to do that, silly”, the actual problem is that the user claims that no one else is printing to the pool at the same time she prints and she is only printing text only print jobs to the pool that average about 5 pages long. Also both printers do not show any hardware problems, so if the pool doesn’t have many print jobs to handle or hardware problems, why does it still split the print job. Yes, I have asked the user that if she is submitting two print jobs consecutively. She said no.
