Printers disappear

Ho there, i don’t if anyone has had this same problem, for no apparent reason
some of the windows 98 pc’s keep loosing the configuration of the printers.
If you go to the printers folder theres nothing there. I need to restart the
computer in order to recover the printers setup. Is this an windows patch
issue?
