Problem with my Libretto 50 CT

Last Saturday I left my Toshiba Libretto 50 CT scanning for viruses on the hard drive. When I went back to it, it hadswitched off. I tried to switch it on and it failed to boot. The following words appear when switched on:
“computer cannot go into hibernation HDD damaged”; then
“HOC error”; then
“insert system disk”.

I inserted the system disk but I when I try to get to C drive I get the message:”invalid specification”. What could be wrong? What can I do to put it back on the “road”?
