Problem with Windows XP recovery

This morning my computer appeared to be fine (usual desktop). I clicked on the Firefox icon and the screen went black. Now Windows won’t boot. So I went through the Recovery disk process (using CD, floppy drive doesn’t work). It did fine until it asks for the Administrator password. I never made one. So I hit ENTER. It won’t accept that. It just keeps going back to C:\WINDOWS> prompt. What do I do now?

I’m in the process of downloading Austrumi using my work PC. But, I don’t know what to do with it when I get it.
