Problems with Dual boot

Using Xp and trying to create a dual boot with either Win2000 (preferred) or a different version of XP. when I put the install disc in it will not allow me to install claiming a new version exists. Not an option to do a clean install at this time. Tried some searches that have not brought successful results. I have created an additional partition for the dual boot.
