Problems with the accented ” e ” character in XP user’s profile name.

We have one user whose username in WinXP Pro contains the ‘acute accent’ (or whatever that “e” with the accent over it is called…I tried to enter it in this post but it shows up as ?). This not been a problem at all with 2 exceptions. Even with administrative rights, she could not use Adobe Digital Editions (digital book reader)and now she is having problems with a recent software upgrade for the Livescribe SmartPen. If she runs as another user, without the accented ” e ” in the username, everything works just fine.

It is a small inconvenience with an easy workaround. I was merely curious about others’ experiences with any similar situations.
