Proxy Server Auto-dial Failure

I have installed 2 different shareware proxy server software on my NT 4.0 Server SP5 and it all appears to work OK except when autodial kicks in it fails to authenticate
and just keep redialling.

The dialup connection will work happily if the proxy server is removed from the loop.

I am 100% sure that the Dial up information is correct as I do not have this problem running it on Windows 95 with a mirror installation.

The curious thing is that the same error occure with 2 unrelated Proxy Server software.

Any help will be appreciated
