Quality Search Engine

I am looking to purchase or acquire a quality search engine THAT IS NOT SERVER DEPENDENT. I develop online documentation that has 10,000+ HTML files that need to be readily accessible to our customers.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I could use? In the past, we used Astaware’s SearchDisc, but due to changes that they have made, we are needing to find another solution.

Any help would be appreciated.
