Query my Databse using Dates

I designed a database in Access 2000 and would like to query it using a date range. I would like to generate a report using the query which will prompt the user for the date range. I’ve tried doing this but it displays an error message anytime I type in the dates. Is there a way I can format my date input? How can I manipulate dates? I think I need a sample code. Pls treat as urgent.
