Hi,
I thought Ram is easy to choose but it seems I was wrong. I can’t understand the different characteristics. Adding to the confusion are the memory search engines of memory manufacturers.
My system is Dell Inspiron 15R SE 7520.
Kingston shows as compatible this model: KTD-L3C/8G which operates at 1.5v
Crucial shows as compatible this: CT4522510, but it operates at 1.35v
In my system I have 4GB Hynix HMT351S6EFR8C, at 1.5v.
I would like to buy a 8GB module and add up so I would have 12GB. I don’t care about dual channel.
The most common module with similar characteristics that I can easily buy (without ordering from international shops) is Kingston KVR16S11/8.
Can you please advise what should I do?
Thanks,
Dani
