Random PC Lock Up

When we installed a virus protection program(Sophos) on all our companies PC’s and some were locking up when a shut down was performed. We did find that the file name MSGSRV32.EXE was causing this problem and someone had suggested that we uninstallthe screen savers to solve the problem. I was hoping someone out there might have a website or information they could share with me.
