RAS over a network?

by jimbarr . Updated 25 years, 8 months ago

I know this has been addressed on other sites, but I haven’t seen an answer on TPG.

Anyway, I understand how to set up an RAS server for dial-up access. I also know how to set up a client to dial into an RAS server to gain access.

My question is, can an RAS server be set up to allow an administrator to gain access over a network? For example, say I am at the other end of our building and I need to manage several things on the server in the computer room at the other end of the building. I would like to just log onto an NT workstation and simply connect (with security, of course) to the server.

How can this be accomplished?

Thanks!
