Reconnecting restored user account mailbox in exchange 2003?

Recently an authoritative restore was performed on ADUC 2003 to recover deleted Items, now all the user??s whoes account was restored the mailbox is disbaled with a red x, i removed th microsoft exchange attributes but when i try to reconnect the mailbox to the restored user i a get the folloing error code This user has already a mailbox id no c1034a05 exchange system. Any idea of what can be done to reconect this mailbox to the recovered user?
