Registry hack to start my own apps

by maniskid . Updated 21 years, 6 months ago

It used to kill me to type in a command at the start–>run promts and recieve “you have not found the correct address, please make sure its in the right location”

But now after over an hour of checking the registry I can now type in anything I like such as “winamp” and it loads the Winamp application!!!!

To do this I added a key to the list:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths]

Called Winamp.exe

With a default value like: “c:\program files\winamp\winamp.exe”

That too waaay to long to find out. Message me if you don’t get it. Its something hard to live without.
