Remote boot Diskless Win9X Workstation s

by stevenm1 . Updated 25 years, 11 months ago

have a NT server/Linux environment and need to create a workstation setup for 95
(ALL VERSIONS) and Win98 (also ALL VERSIONS).

The PC’s have a NIC card with a 32K boot-Prom installed.

I have gotten the test PC to successfully boot from the network to load DOS 6.22 and
Win95 (in command prompt mode only!).

The PC is a 486-100 on a 3com 3C509B NIC with 32 Meg of ram (real PC’s used will be min P-200 with 64 MB ram – this is just a test PC). The NT server is version 4 with SP6a

***Win2k is ***NOT*** an option!!!***
All Linux or NT4 solutions ONLY PLS.

** I need a solution for ALL Win9X Operating Systems (all Ver of 95 and 98)

I’m offering all the points I have. Steve M.
