Remote Desktop

I have installed remote desktop on my windows 2000 PC, I have tried to remote to it from my laptop but it fails to connect, I have searched google and all it says is my PC must be enabled and to do this I goto to my computers properties and select the remote tab, there is no remote tab in win 2000 only in xp, can any one help please
